What an incredible day we had earlier this week honoring a living legend in the world, and my friend, Dr. Dorothy I. Height, chairwoman-emeritus of the National Council of Negro Women.
A leader of the civil rights movement, and an advisor to countless U.S. Presidents, Dr. Height has been an invaluable mentor and friend to me and Operation HOPE. We were honored to dedicate our success story meeting room at the Anacostia-HOPE Center in her honor, and to unveil a beautiful portrait in her honor as well. Simply the right thing to do.
Onward with HOPE
