Hi John, It was such a pleasure and so inspirational meeting you last night in Oakland. I woke up this morning with a renewed sense of hope and began envisioning my 20 year plan. I had been pessimistic that being 62 and with a recent foreclosure on my credit it will take me 7 years to get back a decent credit score and many Black people don't even live that long. But after listening to you last night, I am confident that no matter what I do, as long as I keep trying I can win. Thanks so much for the pep talk. I agree with you 100% on the financial literacy and I will be volunteering to speak to our children with your program. I am sending you a picture I took in the slave dungeon at El Mina, Ghana near the Door of No Return. I guess I am smiling because I did return. I totally agree with your comments re Africa. Black Americans, Wake Up!!! Love and please keep doing what you are doing. I especially applaud your appearance at B.E.S.T. and with all of our youth. I believe that a financially literate African American population will make the difference in this century. Joy Williams, Oakland, CA
