I am pleased to report that long-time friend, the Honorable Alphonso Jackson, former HUD Secretary and now Vice Chairman of JP Mortgan Chase, is confirmed to speak at the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit in November, 2012.

In 2012, Alphonso Jackson became Vice-Chairman of Mortgage Banking with JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM) in New York City. The Mortgage Banking division originates home loans through more than 5,200 branches, call centers, and retail correspondent lenders in all 50 states. Chase also services residential mortgage loans and provides affordable housing solutions to customers struggling with their mortgage payments.

Alphonso Jackson served as the 13th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He was nominated by President George W. Bush on January 28, 2004 and unanimously confirmed by the Senate on March 31, 2004. On March 31, 2008, Jackson announced his resignation, effective April 18, 2008.

Jackson became the Deputy Secretary of HUD in June 2001. After former HUD Secretary Mel Martinez left the administration to campaign for the November 2004 election for a U.S. Senate seat in Florida, Jackson became acting secretary of HUD.
