Forrmer Minnesota Governor will lend expertise on government and finance at international gathering in November

ATLANTA – July 11, 2013 – Governor Tim Pawlenty, Financial Services Roundtable President and CEO, will serve as an Honorary Co-chairs to speak at the second Global Financial Dignity Summit hosted by Operation HOPE and the City of Atlanta on November 13-14, 2013 in Atlanta, GA. Sponsored by Delta Airlines, Allstate, UPS and others, the Summit’s theme, Global Economic Recovery: How the Poor Can Help Save Capitalism, focuses on solutions for an economic revival that is inclusive of all social strata.    

Mr. Pawlenty will share his remarks with an expected 1,000 delegates from around the world at the event, hosted by Co-chairs John Hope Bryant, HOPE Founder, Chairman and CEO, and Civil Rights Icon and Ambassador Andrew Young, Chairman of the Andrew Young Foundation.

As leader of the Financial Services Roundtable, which represents leading financial service companies in their efforts to protect the security, integrity and success of our nation’s financial system, Mr. Pawlenty helps strengthen the organization’s impact as a major player on Capitol Hill and with regulators. He previously served as governor of the State of Minnesota (2003-2011). As his state’s CEO, he was responsible for a $50 billion biennial budget, 30,000 employees and over 20 agencies and departments. His work as governor included promoting international business opportunities through trade missions to nine countries.
