Neia-OmerThe HOPE Atlanta family congratulates former HOPE Global Forums Fellow Neia Omer, who graduates from Georgia State University in December with a BBA in Managerial Sciences. She will receive the Nell Hamilton Trotter Award, which recognizes one senior’s commitment to student involvement and is known as the highest student leadership award presented by the University.

Neia was invaluable as a HOPE Fellow working with the Atlanta team, whether assisting with coordinating speakers for the Global Forum, recruiting volunteers or promoting HOPE programs at community events. She was an active student campus leader and volunteered at the Yemage Medical Center, the first community hospital in her birthplace of Harar, Ethiopia. She is passionate about advancing education and increased access to healthcare for women in developing countries.

Neia will be remembered by the HOPE Atlanta family as a servant leader who is energetic, positive and dedicated to making a global community impact. We look forward to Neia’s success in continuing to work with organizations promoting women’s initiatives, academic services and economic empowerment. Please join us in congratulating Neia Omer!
